11:34 - Tuesday, Apr. 17, 2007 Watching it last night I got angry & upset & Hank didn't say much. He isn't such an emotional person like me, but has commented many times about my big heart. I think it's okay, even good to feel this much for strangers. Then I read Bluesleepy's most recent enrty about this tragedy. She says, "Call me a sap, but I'm really upset about the Virginia Tech shooting." This makes me wonder even more what this world is really like... does that make her or I a "sap"? I am curious on your opinions... Shouldn't we ALL care for one another this way? Maybe if we did this shit wouldn't happen so much! Or if we are wasting our own emotions on this or you have other opinions, I'd love to hear. She got many comments agreeing she is not a sap. This is the comment I left: What bugs me though, is the media. ABC I think it was, had already made a montage of clips of bodies being taen from the building and people running & crying to sad music. It was very sad, yes, and even effective, but I just don't think it's right to rush & do that... let people heal a little first, give the NEWS not a friggen music video. They'll do anything.... BUT do you ever see any coverage like this on the war or bodies of the soldiers being brought out of there? Not so much. Makes no sense to me. There. Sorry about ranting on your diaryland!" Your thoughts? Talk to me!
