Happy Birthday to MEEEE!
Man, I have been on such a high the past couple days... i am starting to come down now, but I'll be back up there on Saturday for my party!
So I had a great birthday day. I woke up with HW, he got up a little extra early to give me some extra birthday love, which was very sweet. I stayed up & watched TV a bit in the morning & fell back asleep from 7-8 or so. Then from 8 on I just layed in bed watching TV... sometimes I closed my eyes, but I was too excited to sleep! I was surprised at how good I actually felt... I wasn't sad about being 30 at all... it did feel a little weird, but good anyway.
So I got up & checked all my emails, I got lots of nice birthday wishes & hopped in the shower after 10ish. Slowly got ready in between more emails & phone calls. The mailman came & went & there was nothing there! I thought my Mommy forgot me so I had to call her too! Luckily HW's Mom was holding onto something for me! I was so scared!
Weathergeek picked me up at noon and gave me a really cute card... I think I love the envelope more - he drew my name on the front & it is so cute! Anyway, we went for lunch. We were going to try Wasabi on Osborne, but apparently they don't open till 4 - which is pretty silly if you ask me - but anyway, we walked to another place ('Meiji' I think) which we've been to a couple of other times & had a great lunch & some Sake. Then he surprised me and paid for lunch! That was super nice, and unexpected. We went then to St. Vital & he waited while I went into Ricki's and bought some shirts. That was very cool of him too - most guy friends would NOT have done that! Even HW gets impatient in the mall. Went through Walmart on the way out 'cause he needed something, and I found some awesome sandals on for $9! I wish I had more time I would have spent more there, all the summer shoes were so cheap! I also got a disposable camera to have for Saturday.
Weathergeek dropped me off to meet Wpg Mom for our pedicures. We had a nice time, it felt great & took some pictures. I was glad she was able to do that with me. I got a french pedicure, it looks awesome.
She also gave me the gift from Edm Mom. It was a cute little Ziggy birthday book with nice sayings & she added nice words to each page too. I cried a little ;) Then there was a little bracelet in there... one I probably won't be able to wear 'cause it isn't real & it'll give me a rash, but once & awhile I can put it on for a short time. Anyway, there was a note with it, that the REAL present is a 10K gold bracelet, but it is in her lock box & she put the key in such a 'safe' place that she can't find it... so I guess I have to wait for Christmas to go get it... I wish she'd find it sooner & send it to me though! :-)
Anyhoo... then Wpg Mom & I went to the t-shirt place next door to the salon & ordered the shirt I am getting made up to wear on Saturday. It is a black t-shirt with a big gold #) on the front & on the back will say (in gold, diagonally) "And loving it!" Heehee... I'm picking it up tonight.
So we went back to my place for a beer. HW was there with D. D surprised me with a birthday hug! Wow! Bj came by too & gave me all the plates, napkins & cutlery for the party too. Awesome! They left & Mom left & then HW and I were alone. He gave me my gift.
He got me a beautiful HEAVY silver chain. I love it. I have been stealing his silver chain here & there so I can wear my Cartouche (Wpg Mom brought me back from Cairo, Egypt - it is a pendant with my name written in Hyroglyphics (sp?) on it). I love the chain, with or without the pendant on it. Wow. AND he also got me a gift certificate for a massage! I have never had a professional one before! Spolied eh? He really surprised me with all this. He went all out this time. And a really cute card too! Man, I love him!
So then K & Honke came over for a couple drinks... while the phone rang off the hook with birthday wishes for me. I felt so special! Then we left & met Wpg Mom & Curly at Boston Pizza. I had my favorite pizza & lots to drink. I had a permanent grin on my face all night long & had so much fun. YAY!
Then HW & I & Honke went back home for more beverages. J&A from across the alley came for a beer too. Good times. I don't know what time Honke left, but I think 1 or 2... then I waxs up on the computer a little & then went to bed. I woke up and I felt still drunk I was so hyper & high on life! I was bored & restless so I went with NS to her bud's place for her lunch break. Then I got home & had a beer & talked on the phone some more. Then Sue from next door came by & we sat in the back talking for a couple hours.
After that I was just pooped! A few beers and all the excitement had me worn right out... CRASH TIME! I laid on the couch & pretty much stayed there until we went to bed to watch TV around 8ish. We watched TV until 10 or 1030 & fell asleep. Had a rough sleep though, lots on my mind I guess, and had to get up for work at 5:20 this morning to start at 7. Fun! But I still feel good. LOTS to do to prepare for Saturday... but I think we'll be okay. Too bad it looks like rain & now we'll have to find a few tarps & make a roof over the yard.
Wpg Mom said I had enough fun & gifts for the day so she was saving my gift till Saturday... that's kewl with me, then it's all spread out like the birthday week I've been wishing for!
Well, I better run now - I have a meeting in a few miuntes to attend. I will post pics from my b-day as soon as I can, along with pics of my new necklace.
